20-Year Warranty on Coil Burnout
Dings Electromagnetic (Overhead Electromagnets, Swinging Pendulum, etc.) coils are wound with an anodized aluminum strap; an exclusive design that generates more magnetism than any other on the market! This design outlasts and outperforms ‘conventional’ round wire (copper or bare or anodized aluminum) coils that can lead to coil burnouts.
Our electromagnetic coils stay cooler – operating at a much lower temperature. Since electromagnets perform best at lower operating temperatures, this design ensures Dings electromagnets are stronger and more efficient. With ‘conventional’ round wire coils, inside turns are not cooled evenly and produce hot spots that damage coils. Each turn of the Dings electromagnetic coil is exposed to oil-cooling and is in constant contact with oil, therefore, eliminating the need for an oil expansion tank on our equipment. Oil is free to flow around and in between each coil to maximize cooling effect.

Dings Flux Control (DFC) Circuit design was a breakthrough for our permanent magnets. It eliminates internal leakage between magnetic poles and improves separating performance.
Other ‘conventional’ magnetic circuits contain air or filler material between the magnetic poles; this allows flux (magnetism) to leak out and be wasted. In the DFC design, blocking magnets are strategically positioned in the spaces between the magnetic poles. These blocks redirect the flux outward, into your product, which converts the wasted flux lines to working force. This makes the magnet more efficient and the overall strength is improved in three ways: The magnetic field is stronger, the magnetic field extends deeper and the magnetic field is more uniform. By using the DFC effectively, Dings magnetic solution experts can manufacture any sized permanent magnet that has just the right amount of magnetic power for your specific application – creating savings in weight and cost!

Dings Co. Magnetic Group was the very first manufacturer to develop an armored belt, allowing overhead magnets to be used in severe-duty applications. The Dings Durabelt is a metal clad belt developed by the Dings Company as a long-life magnet cleaning belt for installations where many sharp-edged iron objects are encountered. Continuous impacts from sharp steel can cause rapid wear on standard cleaning belts. The entire impact area on a Durabelt is protected with an armored barrier of thick stainless-steel pads. The barrier offers all the wear resistance and durability expected from one of the toughest metals. The self-cleaning belt travels continuously around the separator, automatically cleaning off the attracted ferrous. Individual plates can be easily replaced in the field, saving costs on belt replacement and reducing downtime. A Durabelt comes standard on the Severe Duty Model and is an outstanding money saving option available on Overhead Magnets.
EBK Crossbelt Magnet (Custom Application Product)
Dings EBK Magnet is a high intensity self-cleaning magnetic concentrator. It’s the most powerful and effective magnetic separator available for seed cleaning and for concentrating weakly magnetic minerals such as: ilmenite, manganese minerals, monazite, hübnerite, wolframite, etc. It can concentrate extremely powerful magnetic minerals such as: magnetite, pyrrhotite, etc. The self-cleaning EBK selectively lifts them out of a conveyed burden and discharges them as distinct and clean concentrates.
Sugaron Magnet (Custom Application Product)
Dings Sugaron Magnet is specifically designed for sugarcane applications. This electromagnet captures metal plates, cutting tools, etc. in mills processing sugar cane. Sugaron Magnets protect from damage and breakage of equipment, costly repairs and productions line shutdowns by removing contaminants in the process stream.

Dings Swinging Pendulum Magnet is designed and manufactured for the slag processing industry. No other electromagnet operates or performs like it! It is built to take a beating, withstand the punishing action of continuously attracting massive hunks of steel weighing up to 700 lbs.
Triple Layer Protection Design
Dings Eddy Current Separator has triple shell layers of ceramic tile, fiberglass and heavy duty stainless-steel that protects the ‘heart’ of the eddy current separator – the magnetic rotor assembly. This provides maximum rotor protection that gives the equipment longer life, lower maintenance and repair costs and simplifies maintenance of the equipment.
Dings Rare Earth Magnets
Dings offers rare earth magnets in selected equipment to develop magnetism intense enough for separating weakly magnetic material. Some metal oxides and mineral contaminants are susceptible to only a very powerful and concentrated magnetic force. Grates, Ferroplates, Magnetic Drums and more built with these powerful magnets, can accomplish separations that aren’t possible with other permanent designs. Rare earth magnets provide relatively low-cost separation of difficult materials.
Dings Ceramic VIII: Superior Grade Magnetic Material
Dings Co. Magnetic Group uses the best grade of ceramics for our magnetic separators, ensuring a stronger, longer-lasting magnetic field. Ceramic VIII has a better resistance to demagnetization than Ceramic V or other lower grade materials. Ceramic VIII was developed specifically to overcome demagnetization. It outperforms Ceramic V in applications involving high temperatures.
